2. Why is the hair growth phase important for laser hair removal?

Warum Timing alles ist – Mein 4-Jahres-Experiment
Um die Unterschiede in der Effektivität von Lasersitzungen zu testen, habe ich eine einjährige Studie an mir selbst durchgeführt. Dabei wurden beide Achselhöhlen mit demselben Laser, denselben Einstellungen und derselben Technik behandelt, jedoch mit zwei verschiedenen Vorgehensweisen:

3. How do I know if my hair is ready for treatment?
Die Haare sollten etwa 1 mm lang sein, um eine optimale Laserzielgenauigkeit zu gewährleisten. Wenn die Haare frisch rasiert oder zu kurz sind, funktioniert der Laser möglicherweise nicht so effektiv.
So können Sie es überprüfen:

Bereit: Haare sind sichtbar, 1–2 mm lang und in der aktiven Wachstumsphase.

Bald bereit: Haare wachsen ungleichmäßig oder sind sehr fein und hell—warten Sie 1–2 Wochen. Rasieren ist in dieser Zeit jederzeit möglich.

4. How many treatments will I need?
Most clients require 4 to 8 treatments , spaced 8–12 weeks apart (or longer) , depending on the body area and hair type. More treatments may be necessary in the facial area due to shorter hair growth cycles.

6. Is the treatment painful?
No, the powerful sapphire tip with contact cooling and its higher absorption of the 808nm wavelength offer the optimal advantage of hair removal treatment without anesthetics or gels compared to conventional diode laser hair removal systems. Furthermore, the practitioner can choose an additional air cooling adapter for fine hair or sensitive skin, providing improved comfort during treatment.
The treatment is generally well tolerated. Customers typically report:
A cool feeling thanks to the integrated cooling system of the laser device.
A slight pulling or tingling sensation, similar to plucking a hair, during the laser pulse.

7. What happens if I arrive with freshly shaved hair?
Freshly shaved hairs may be too short for the laser to effectively detect them. For optimal results, ensure that the hairs are approximately 0.5 to a maximum of 1 mm long (shave 2 days before your appointment, or 4-5 days if your hair grows more slowly).
If your hair is freshly shaved, we will have to reschedule the appointment.

8. What should I avoid before treatment?
Avoid sunbeds or sun exposure for 1-2 weeks .
No waxing, sugaring or plucking treatments for at least 6 weeks—the follicle must remain intact for the laser to work.
Shave the area a few days before the treatment so that a small visible hairline remains.

9. Are there any side effects?
Temporary side effects may include:
Redness or swelling , which usually subsides within a few hours.
Rarely, hyperpigmentation (darker spots) or hypopigmentation (lighter spots) may occur, which fade within weeks.
To minimize risks, avoid direct sunlight for 10 days after treatment.

10. How permanent is laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal offers 80–90% permanent hair reduction , as confirmed by clinical studies. Generally, 6–8 sessions are required for optimal results.
We recommend an annual touch-up session , as a very small percentage of hairs may regrow after 2–3 years. This regrowth can be caused by hormonal changes or dormant follicles becoming active.

No, the hair needs 1–3 weeks to fall out after treatment. The treated area will gradually become smoother as the hair falls out naturally.
